I went to ScoutCOM on April 9 with my wife and five other scouters from our Group (all Cub and Beaver leaders, incidentally. No one from Troop could go). It was an excellent day, and the only criticism that I can make is that there needed to be better descriptions of the programs in the registration materials. Some was non-existent, and with 30+ choices, it was important to get it right. However, everything else was EXCELLENT. We had great trainers, a fun day, really cool vendors that were geared towards Scouting (and thus made us spend money), and we also got to see the new uniforms up close. They look even better in reality than on the screen (for instance, the red shirt is a deep, patriotic red, not an orangey red).
A great day, and we'll be sure to go to the next one in 2013.
