2011-12 Scouting Year

Folks,

All the best on the upcoming new Scouting year. 1st Anzac is on our 3rd year, and we hope to bring our community a bigger and better program with more youth registered than last year. We are helping shape the future leaders of the Oilsands.

Good luck and have FUN!!!

Re: 2011-12 Scouting Year

Having fun already! Completed most of our annual plan for 6th Brockville Colony last night, will finish it off this month with any new leaders coming on line (hopefully, in years to come, we'll do our "broad strokes" annual plan in June, with the three month and one month plans at the end of August.

Still, it was fun coming up with some fantastic ideas.

Enjoy yourselves, everyone, even in the mundane tasks (like budgeting and making sure you meet Program Quality Standards). If you're not having fun doing this, your either not doing it right, or you shouldn't be doing it at all. Have a blast!

Re: 2011-12 Scouting Year

We have a had a successful registration night and are looking forward to our first cub meeting on Sep.7th. We have not done much of our planning yet (except booked a scout camp for our fall camp), as we like to include the cubs in that, so the 7th is a planning/idea meeting for the cubs and we'll follow up with a leader meeting right after that.

Can't wait. We've got a pretty good plan laid out and after a year of establishment, are looking forward to really getting on with some more advanced activites.
